Winemaker Family Huff: People who shape our winery

Behind every wine are people who shape it with passion, experience, and personality. At Weingut Georg Gustav Huff, several generations work together to stand for quality and authenticity. Each brings their own signature, strengths, and perspective—from the vineyard to the glass.

Stefan & Daniel Huff – two brothers, one signature

“Wine is created with dedication, patience, and respect for nature—and every grape variety tells its own story.”

With Stefan and Daniel Huff, two brothers are leading Weingut Georg Gustav Huff in Nierstein-Schwabsburg into the future. Both are deeply rooted in the Rheinhessen region and yet shaped by their own experiences and preferences.

After his training on the Ahr, Stefan gained valuable insights during internships in Australia and Austria. His special dedication is to Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), which he crafts with great finesse to be elegant and full of character.

Daniel knew early on that he wanted to continue the family winery. His heart beats for Riesling from the Roter Hang—especially from the top sites Pettenthal, Hipping, and Schloss Schwabsburg, renowned for their unmistakable minerality and elegance.

Together, the brothers unite tradition and innovation, regional roots and international inspiration. Their signature is evident in authentic wines that make origin tangible and continue the story of the winery—with a view to the future.

Stefanie Huff – our link to customers

“For me, wine is not only enjoyment but also encounter—every conversation opens new perspectives.”

At Weingut Georg Gustav Huff, Stefanie Huff is the connecting link between the cellar and our customers. She is the first point of contact for private customers, trade partners, and gastronomy, ensuring that individual wishes and solutions are always front and center.

With great sensitivity, she presents our wines at trade fairs, accompanies tastings, and welcomes guests in our vinothek. She succeeds in conveying the philosophy of the family winery authentically and making our wines a tangible experience.

With her open manner and warmth, Stefanie forges a bridge between wine, origin, and enjoyment—and thus plays a major role in the success of our family winery.

Dieter & Helga Huff – foundation and support

“A winery lives not only from its wines but also from the people who carry it.”

For decades, Dieter and Helga Huff have shaped and significantly built up Weingut Georg Gustav Huff. For around 50 years, they have been in close contact with customers, nurtured relationships, and made the family winery known far beyond Rheinhessen.

They are still involved with all their hearts today: in the vineyard, in the vinothek, or as reliable support in the background. At the same time, they enjoy giving the next generations space and occasionally taking a well-deserved break.

With their experience and tireless commitment, Dieter and Helga remain the foundation of the family winery—and important companions on the path to the future.

Jakob & Philipp Huff – right in the middle and full of enthusiasm

“We just help wherever something’s happening—and most of the time it’s really fun.”

Jakob and Philipp Huff are gradually growing into the family winery. Both are already involved with great joy and bring fresh energy to everyday life.

Jakob has just begun his winemaker training. With curiosity and drive, he is discovering what it means to tend vineyards and bring wines to life.

Philipp is still a student but helps whenever he can: at courtyard festivals, in the vineyard, in the warehouse, or in the cellar. With enthusiasm, he lends a hand wherever support is needed.

The chances are good that one day the two will continue the winery—because their joy in pitching in is already unmistakable.
